    My name is Kennie Peña and my Realms and WEs nickname are Longdistanceswimmer

02 When, where and with who you started to play heroclix?

02 Quando, onde e com quem você começou a jogar heroclix?

    I am from New Jersey and started playing with a good friend of mine when Mutations and Monsters came out.  I hate to admit this, but the learning curve was pretty high and I didn't commit to the game.  Some time passed and was able to give it another shot and was able to figure it all out.  My first real set where it all started for me was Web of Spider-Man back in 2010.

    PT: Sou de New Jersey e comecei a jogar com um bom amigo quando lançou Mutations and Monsters. Eu odeio admitir mas a curva de aprendizado era meio alta e não entendi o jogo. Então algum tempo de passou e eu dei outra chance ao jogo e consegui entende-lo. Meu primeiro set quando comecei a jogar realmente foi em Web of Spider-man em 2010.

03 How you would discribe heroclix?

03 Como você descreveria o heroclix?

    Chess with superpowers is a pretty accurate description.  Like I mentioned before, the game can be difficult to learn, but it is such a rewarding feeling when you can play at a comfortable place.

    PT: Xadrez com superpoderes é uma descrição bem precisa. Como mencionei antes, o jogo pode ser difícil de aprender, mas é compensadora a sensação quando você joga em um lugar confortável.

04 What is your game style?

04 Qual seu estilo de jogo?

    I welcome and try to play as many styles as possible, but if I had to choose one, I would prefer a defensive/board control style.

    PT:  Eu adoro e tento usar quantos estilos de jogo forem possíveis, mas se eu tiver que escolher um, eu prefiro o defensivo com controle de mapa.

    I don't want to brag, but I guess you want me to, so I will brag a little bit, haha.

3rd at 2012 World Championship

14th at 2014 U.S. National Championship

1st at 2015 U.S. National Championship

1st at 2015 Canadian National Championship

6th at 2015 World Championship

In 2015, I have won (1) ROC qualifier, (2) Super ROC Qualifiers, 2nd at NY State Championship, and a Regional Championship this past weekend at New Hampshire, Maine.

06 Do you think heroclix its “pay to win”?

06 Você acha que heroclix é "pay to win"?

    Absolutely not!  While obtaining rare figures can be challenging, it is a collectible game and their many ways to obtaining them (borrowing from friends, eBay, trading via online or other clix groups, etc).  Even then, it still takes a lot of effort and skill to utilize a team to it's fullest, so it is 100% not pay to win. 

    PT: Absolutamente não! Enquanto obter figuras raras pode ser desafiador, é um jogo colecionável, e existem muitas maneiras de conseguir essas peças (pegando emprestado de amigos, Ebay, trocando online ou em outros grupos de heroclix etc.). Mesmo assim, ainda requer muito esforço e habilidade para usar a peça ao seu máximo, então é 100% não pay to win.

07 Do you think its an “expensive” hobbie?

07 Você considera um hobbie caro?

    It can be expensive to some and that depends on a person to person basis.  That being said, in comparison to other games, it doesn't come close to being expensive in my opinion.

   PT: Pode ser caro para alguns, e depende de pessoa para pessoa. Como foi dito, em comparação com outros jogos, ele não chega nem perto de ser caro na minha opinião

08 There’s any remarkable match you remember?

08 Alguma partida memorável que você se lembra?

    In the 2014 World Championship, I played against Adam Friedman.  In his 2nd turn, he was able to remove my Book of Skull resource using his Disintegration Beam.  So I had Doop/Ion, 75pt Bizarro, Brother Voodoo, and Splitlip vs his Fantomex/Parallax, Despotellis/Adara, and Bill/Ion and Full Plant.  Long story short, there was a turn where I went for a Mind Control on his Despotellis during the beginning of my turn (Brother Voodoo) and was able to hit a roll of 9 or better 4 times in a row forcing all of his Probability Control and Theme Team Probability Control (Entity Theme was still a thing).  I was able to use his Despotellis poison against him and put me back in the match, without any hammers.  In the end I lost, but I never gave up, even when the match shifted to his favor from very early in the match. 

    PT: No mundial de 2014, eu joguei contra Adam Friedman. E no 2° turno ele conseguiu remover meu Book of Skull do jogo usando o Disintegration Beam. Então eu tinha um Doop com Ion, 75pts Bizarro, Brother Voodoo e um splitlip contra o Fantomex+Parallax, Despotellis+Adara e Bill+Ion e uma power plant cheia! Resumindo a longa história, teve um turno onde eu consegui um mind control no despotellis dele, no começo do turno com o efeito do Brother Voodoo, precisava de um 9 ou mais numa melhor de 4 de probability controls, fazendo eles gastar todos seus PC tematicos(temático entidade ainda existia). Fazendo o Despotellis usar poison contra o próprio time dele me colocando novamente na partida mesmo sem nenhum martelo. No final eu perdi, mas nunca desisti, mesmo quando a partida virou ao favor dele bem no começo.

09 Do you have plans to come to Brazil?

09 Você tem planos de vir para o Brazil?

    I do not have any immediate plans to come to Brazil, but I am definitely not against it.  I did consider coming to visit during the World Cup in 2014, but it did not happen.

    PT: Não tenho nenhum plano de imediato para ir para o Brasil, mas não sou contra isso. Eu considerei ir visitar durante a copa de 2014, mas não aconteceu.

10 Do you have any favorite figure?

10 Você tem alguma peça favorita?

    Right now, Proselyte is my favorite figure.  I do believe he is the best and most versatile entity possessor and somehow is still underused by majority of the players at all levels of competition.  Other than Proselyte, I always enjoyed playing Calendar Man, Rainbow Raider, and Squirrel Girl with Monkey Joe from the Captain America set. 

    PT: No momento, Proselyte é minha figura favorita. Eu agredito que ele é a melhor e mais versátil entidade  e de alguma forma é pouco usada pela maioria dos jogadores em todos os niveis de competição. Fora o Proselyte eu sempre gostei de usar o Calendar Man, Rainbow Raider, e Squirrel Girl com Monkey Joe da coleção do Captain America.

11 What you Think of the current meta?

11 Oque você acha do meta atual?

    It is wide open and the most fun I have had with it in a long while.  Resources, Entities/A.I. possession, and ID Cards give so much variety and allow players to build teams to utilize exactly what they need.  It is refreshing to see so many different game elements being listed when Top 16 results are listed from various tournaments.

    PT: É muito aberto e o mais divertido que tenho a muito tempo. Recursos, entidades/A.I possession, ID Cards, da tanta variedade e permitem jogadores criar times e utilizar exatamente oque eles querem. É refrescante ver tantos times diferentes e elementos de jogo sendo listados em resultados de top 16 de vários torneios.

12 Any advice for the new players?

12 Algum conselho para os novos jogadores?

    Don't be like me, haha.  Don't give up so soon.  It takes a while to figure it all out, but trust me, it is worth it.  It is a game and it is important to have fun.  Just stick to a team or strategy and play it until you become comfortable with it and then move on to another team or strategy and slowly build up skills that way.  Try not to read too much into high-level stuff at the beginning, just like anything in life, practice and time is needed to play this game at that level.  Just be patient and keep having fun.

    PT: Não seja como eu, haha. Não desista tão cedo. Demora um tempo até entender tudo, mas confie em mim, vale a pena. É um jogo e é importante se divertir. Apenas ache um time ou estratégia e jogue até você se sentir confortável com isso, então mude de time ou de estratégia e vá lentamente construindo suas habilidades dessa forma. Tente não ler muito de coisas de alto nível no começo, como tudo na vida, pratica e tempo é necessário para jogar o jogo nesse nível. Apenas seja paciente e siga se divertindo.

13 Would you like to let a message to the readers?

13 Quer deixar alguma mensagem para os leitores?

    Have fun and keep an open mind.  The more creative you are, the more possibilities can be made when building and/or playing a team.  Don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone.  Don't blame others for your misfortune.  Don't be afraid to challenge what others consider "meta."

    PT: Divirta-se e tenha uma mente aberta. O mais criativo que você for, mais possibilidades podem ser feitas quando construindo\usando seu time. Não tenha medo de sair da sua zona de conforto. Não culpe outros pelo seu azar. Não tenha medo de desafiar oque outros consideram "meta".
