História do Heroclix

 

 O Heroclix foi criado pela Wizkids em 2002 com base no "combat dial system" (base da peça com um disco "clicável") criado originalmente para o jogo Mage Knight.

 

O primeiro set foi o Marvel's Infinity Challenge (2002) seguido pelo Hypertime, também em 2002, com base no universo DC.

 

 O jogo foi descontinuado em 2008, porém em 2009 com a Wizkids já comprada pela NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association), o jogo foi retomado e remodelado tendo diversas edições até a atualidade. A primeira coleção lançada pela NECA/Wizkids foi Hammer of Thor que marcou uma nova era do Heroclix, foi durante muito tempo aclamada como uma das melhores coleções já lançadas. 

 Nessa volta, após a falência da Wizkids e aquisição pela NECA, foi lançada a peça Thor's Mighty Chariot que também foi um grande marco no retorno do jogo sendo até hoje procurada por colecionadores:

 Inicialmente as peças não tinham carta, o que depois foi acrescentado ao jogo, e a base era achatada, atualmente é maior semelhante um biscoito recheado:

 Atualmente o Heroclix não se limita à Marvel e DC tendo, por exemplo licença das franquias Star Trek, TMNT e até WWE:
