Agora no Pinto Entrevista! Mais um campeão mundial, dessa vez um dos campeões de times de 2015! Kevin Afrooz! Um grande jogador que ira nos mostrar um pouco de sua experiencia com o jogo.

1 - What is your name and your nick in Hcrealms?

1 - Qual seu nome e seu nick no Hcrealms?

Hi. My name is Kevin Afrooz and my gamer tag on realms as well as on the Apex Insider and WES is Afrooz.

2 - When, where and with who you started to play heroclix?

2 - Quando, onde e com quem você começou a jogar heroclix?

I started to play Heroclix in 2012 when Hulk came out and the IG run had just started. I became interested in the game when I saw the figures at a swap meet and the person told me to go to Majestix if I wanted to learn to play. The rest is history. Within a week of Pat and the rest of the crew meeting me we quickly became friends and later teammates then World Champs. Love this store and these guys in a non-homo way... Maybe a little homo, lol.

PT: Eu comecei a jogar Heroclix em 2012 quando coleção do Hulk saiu e IG tinha recém começado. Eu fiquei interessado no jogo quando vi as figuras em um encontro e a pessoa me disse para ir para o Majestix se eu quisesse aprender a jogar. O resto é história. Em uma semana Patrick e o resto do grupo rapidamente ficamos amigos e mais tarde parceiros de time e então Campeões Mundials. Amo essa loja e esses caras de uma forma não-homo...Talvez um pouco homo, lol.

3 - How you would describe heroclix?

3 - Como você descreveria heroclix?

I have to constantly describe Heroclix to colleagues and peers and I do so like everyone else by saying it's an advanced form of Chess, or Chess with additional rules and DC + Marvel characters.

PT: Eu tenho que constantemente descrever Heroclix para colegas e eu faço como todo mundo está fazendo, apenas dizendo que é uma forma avançada de xadrez, ou xadrez com regras adicionais e personagens DC+Marvel.

4 - What is your game style?

4 - Qual seu estilo de jogo?

I've never thought as to what my game style would be considered. I would have to say that I'm adaptable to just about any style or team which I believe most consistently top placing players are capable of as well. The only thing that I see as hurting someone from placing in top 8 on a consistent basis is when they choose to restrict themselves by saying, "I will never play that way, or that piece." Everyone has a favorite method but it's good to always be reasonably open minded.

PT: Eu nunca tinha pensado qual meu estilo de jogo seria considerado. Eu tenho que dizer que é adaptável a qualquer estilo ou time que eu acredite que seja mais consistente para chegar ao topo. A unica coisa que eu vejo machucando alguém ao chegar no top 8 é quando eles decidem restringir a si mesmos dizendo "Eu nunca vou jogar dessa forma ou com essa peça". Todo mundo tem um método favorito, mas é sempre bom ter a mente razoavelmente aberta.

5 - What were your main achievements?

5 - Quais são suas maiores conquistas?

Placing 3rd my first time at Worlds, going undefeated during the top 32 all the way to the championship of the 2014 3v3 with Copycat + New Mutants. And the biggest achievement came from a joke Pat Yapjoco and I had that we would travel everywhere and support the ROC on its 1st year to promote it. We got to do it and I met friends for life from that.

PT: Ficando em 3° lugar na minha primeira vez no mundial, saindo sem derrotas durante o top 32 durante todo o torneio de 2014 3v3 com Copycat + New Mutants. E a maior conquista veio de uma piada feita pelo Patrick Yapjoco em que nós viajaríamos para todos os lugares dando auxilio ao ROC no seu 1° ano para promove-lo. Nós fizemos isso e conhecemos amigos para vida toda com isso.

6 - Do you think heroclix its “pay to win”?

6 - Você acha que heroclix é "pay to win"?

The majority of teams I generally place high with are usually less than $100, so no I don't believe that Heroclix is a pay-to-win game. At the same time I've met plenty of people who are good enough that they will win there monthly OP event then trade that figure for another then another then another and end up with the expensive piece they normally could t afford to pay for outright. This is a collectible and hobby game which means I can still get my Magic or Pokemon trading fix while playing Heroclix.

PT: A maioria dos times que eu geralmente tenho boas colocações custam menos de $100, então não, eu não acredito que heroclix seja um jogo pay-to-win. Da mesma forma eu já vi diversas pessoas que são boas o bastante que eles vão ganhar todo evento OP mensal e então trocar a figura por outra, e então por outra e então por outra e terminar com uma peça cara que eles normalmente não poderiam pagar por ela. 7 - do you think its an expensive hobbie?

It depends. As for a figure collection and display standpoint these figures are amazingly crafted by Wizkids to look like the figurine came straight out of the comic book and onto your table. For the price I believe Wizkids is charging a generous rate for what you acquire. As to the price point if you want to play compatibly I believe that certain figures being designed the way that they are such as entities makes the hobby costly if you are trying to play competitively. However there is still always the chance to pull the figure in a random booster or borrow it from a friend. As it stands now the most expensive competitive team does not come close to equaling the cost for the most expensive Magic competitive deck. The best thing about Hericlix is you just need generally one copy of a figure and not 4 like in card games.

PT: Isso depende. Se for para colecionar figuras e coloca-las em uma estante, essas figuras são impressionantemente feitas pela Wizkids para parecer que o figurino veio direto do gibi para sua mesa. Pelo preço eu acredito que a Wizkids está cobrando taxa generosa pelo que você adquire. Seja pelo preço se você quiser jogar compativelmente eu acredito que certas figuras são desenhadas para fazer o hobbie custar mais se você está tentando jogar competitivamente. De qualquer forma sempre tem a chance de pegar a figura em um booster aleatório ou emprestada de um amigo. Mas agora o time competitivo mais caro, não chega nem perto do valor do deck de Magic competitivo mais caro. A melhor coisa no heroclix é que normalmente você precisa de uma cópia da figura e não 4 como em card games.

8 - There’s any remarkable match you remember?

8 - Tem alguma partida memorável que você se lembre?

So many. People tell me I'm like a Vet if the game at this point because I constantly bring up past games and what I learned or how much fun I had during that game. Every game I play is important to me in better understanding either a piece, team iteration, rules, or interaction and placement against a particular opponent. All while still having fun. It's like learning at school while our having fun at Recess.

PT: Tantas. Pessoas me dizem que eu sou como um veterano no jogo nesse ponto, eu constantemente lembro de jogos do passado e oque eu lembrei ou quanto eu me divertir naquele jogo. Cara partida é que eu jogo é importante para mim para melhor compreensão da peça, interação do time, regras, ou interação e posicionamento contra algum oponente em particular. Tudo enquanto ainda se divertindo, é como aprendendo na escola enquanto se divertindo nas férias.

9 - Do you have plans to come to Brazil?

9 - Você tem planos de vir para o Brasil?

Hellz yes. If everything goes right I should be out there in 2016.

10 - Do you have any favorite figure?

10 - Você tem alguma peça favorita?
 
Currently it's Faust. Getting to make that piece and seeing mine and my teammates names on the back of it puts a smile on my face every time.

PT: Atualmente é o Faust. Fazer essa peça e ver meu nome e dos meus colegas no verso da carta poe um sorriso no meu rosto todas as vezes.

11 - What do you think of the current meta, and what you think will change with the new SM/WW set?

11 - O que você acha do meta atual, e oque você acha que vai mudar com a nova coleção do Superman/Mulher Maravilha?

12 - If you can change one rule(or power effect) in heroclix, what would it be?

12 - Se você pudesse mudar uma regra ( ou efeito de poder) no heroclix, qual seria?

I would fine tune all the special rules to follow a set system like all other games have. Heroclix is the only game I know where a power on one character such as Thor Dark World's Loki 0133 is worded and works differently then ice cap chases break out of the ice trait even though they intend to have the same effect. In Magic if a card says Cycle everyone knows what that special thing does and is. However we constantly have to use the WES to clarify in certain characters intentions with there powers rather than a universal intention. Regrettably I learned more about grammar and the Englih language playing Hericlix then u did in my 6 years of study to gain my Juris Doctorate.

PT: Eu poderia sem duvidas fazer todas as regras especiais seguirem um mesmo sistema como outros jogos. Heroclix é o unico jogo que eu conheço que um poder de um personagem como Loki 133 de Thor Dark World's funciona diferente do Capitão no Gelo Chase. Se a trait deles tinha a intenção de ter o mesmo efeito. No Magic se uma carta fala Reciclar, todo mundo sabe oque esse poder especial faz. De qualquer forma nós constantemente temos que olhar o WES para clarificar certas duvidas ou intenções de poderes. Me arrependo que aprendi mais de gramática e de inglês jogando Heroclix do que meus 6 anos de estudo para ganhar meu Juris Doctorate( um diploma digdin em direito).

13 - If you can design the next heroclix set, what teams/theme/story would you lean towards?

13 - Se você pudesse escolher qual seria o próximo set de heroclix( tema, times, história) qual seria?

That's a great question. Mine would have to be based on one if the DC & Marvel crossovers. I don't care which one as I think it would just be great to see both licenses in a single set. We could even have the mashed up DC and Marvel heroes as chases. That would mean that like composite superman we would have chased that meld together figures like Batman and Iron Man, or Superman and Thor.

PT: Essa é uma grande pergunta. Meu teria que ser baseado em algum dos crossovers de DC & Marvel. Eu não me importo com qual, eu apenas acho que seria genial ver ambas as licenças em um único set. Nós poderíamos ver misturas dos heróis da marvel e DC como chases. Isso significaria algo parecido como composite superman, mas unindo figuras como Batman e Iron Man ou Superman e Thor.

14 - If you can bring back one Golden Age character back to Modern Age for the current rotation, who would it be?

14 - Se você pudesse trazer de volta alguma peça do Golden Age qual seria?

Either GSX Leech or DC 75th Atrocitous. Both pieces make the opponent to play the game differently than he/she normally would.

PT: Um dos dois, ou GSX Leech ou o DC 75th Atrocitus. Ambas as peças fazem o oponente jogar de uma forma diferente da que ele normalmente jogaria.

15 - Any advice for the new players?

15 - Algum conselho para os novos jogadores?

Keep at it, test, build, and study the rule book as well as your opponents team builds and strategies, and you'll be the weekly Heroclix champ at your venue in no time. It took me 3 months before I won my first weekly event.

PT: Tem que testar, construir, e estudar o rulebook da mesma forma que os times dos oponentes e suas estratégias, e você vai será o campeão semanal de heroclix da sua loja logo logo. Levou 3 meses para eu ganhar meu primeiro evento semanal.

16 - Would you like to let a message to the readers?

16 - Você gostaria de deixar uma mensagem para os leitores?

I hope to congratulate all of you in person when you win at an event I'm at. I can't mention enough how much I enjoy knowing that there are so many passionate and great players all around the world who play this game. The best thing about Heroclix is that there is no 1 force build or person that can dominate the scene forever, no matter how much my teammates and I try. This games is as much luck based as it is skill and it makes for some crazy fun things to occur. I have heard laughter and cheer or uproar over a die roll in Heroclix where everyone can relate unlike in card games like Magic or Yugioh. It's truly the crazy intricacy of the game and the great people who play it that makes me come back day-after-day.

PT: Eu espero parabenizar todos vocês pessoalmente quando vocês ganharem um evento que eu esteja. Eu não posso mencionar o suficiente o quanto eu gosto de conhecer pessoas que são tão apaixonadas e grandes jogadores por todo o mundo que jogue esse jogo. A melhor coisa no Heroclix é que não tem um time ou uma pessoa que pode dominar o cenário para sempre, não importa o quanto meus parceiros de time e eu tentamos. Esses jogos tem sorte baseado na mesma forma que habilidades e isso faz algumas coisas loucas divertidas acontecerem. Eu tenho ouvido risadas, torcidas e gritos por causa de um rolar de dados que qualquer um pode dizer que em card games como Magic ou Yugioh isso não acontece. É verdadeiramente a loucura intrínseca do jogo e das grandes pessoas que jogam que me fazem voltar dia-após-dia.
